Interpreting Pediatric Labs and Radiographs Course Description

Presented by Rita Marie John, EdD, DNP, CPNP, PMHS and Deanna Schneider, DNP, CPNP-PC

Diagnostic Labs session is designed to improve the use of diagnostic testing for the pediatric-focused APRN. Using cases from clinical practice, participants will determine which lab tests are or are not helpful in establishing a diagnosis. Radiographs play an integral role in diagnosis and management in the pediatric patient. With training and practice, you will learn to recognize radiographic patterns and distinguish normal versus abnormal presentations. You will learn a systematic method to assess and interpret pediatric radiographs, CT scans, MRI and ultrasound. We will end the day with diagnostic testing and interpretation case studies to test the knowledge you've gained at the symposium.
